Valley Art Center is excited to announce an upcoming exhibition that invites artists to explore the captivating world of touchable art. Titled " In Touch: A Hands-On Exhibition," this exhibition aims to celebrate inclusivity, accessibility, and the multisensory experience of art by showcasing tactile works that invite interaction and engagement. From sculptures and installations to textured paintings and mixed media pieces, we welcome a diverse range of tactile artwork that encourages exploration, curiosity, and connection. Valley Art Center is excited to provide Cash Prizes Totaling $1000!
Themes and Concepts:
Artists are encouraged to explore various themes and concepts in their submissions. Whether it's exploring the beauty of different textures, conveying emotions through tactile elements, or reimagining traditional artistic forms in innovative ways, we invite you to push the boundaries of touchable art and inspire our audience.
What you will need
• At least one digital image (JPEG) of each art piece. These must be good photographs of the actual, original artwork you want to enter to potentially exhibit. We recommend that 3D artists submit at least one photomosaic image for the submission featuring multiple views of each submitted piece in a single image.
• Please make sure you are settled on titles, medium descriptions, and prices. The way you identify yourself and your work in the submission form are what we utilize when we present your information on art labels and in program listings. Valley Art Center is not responsible for misspellings or incorrect information due to inaccurately entered information.
Entering artwork submissions on ArtCall
After logging in or creating a new account, you will Add a new submission. You will fill out the form with Category, Title, Dimensions (height, width, and depth), Sale price (all work entered must be for sale for this exhibit), and Medium for your artwork submission. You will then upload an Attachment that is the photo of your artwork.

Notification of jury results; August 21, 2024 by 4 pm.

• Artwork delivery
Thursday drop off, August 29, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday drop off, August 30, 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Saturday drop off, August 31, 10 a.m.– 2 p.m.
Shipping—please plan for shipped art to arrive by August 29, 2024, or earlier, and include a prepaid return shipping label inside your package.

Submission Guidelines: We welcome submissions from artists working in various mediums, including but not limited to sculpture, textile art, mixed media, interactive installations, and tactile paintings. Submissions should be touchable and engage the senses beyond just sight. All submissions must be made through ArtCall. The deadline for submissions is August 14, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
